Visit the Mull of Kintyre
The Mull of Kintyre is the southwestern most tip of the Kintyre Peninsula in southwest Scotland. On a clear day you can see the Antrim coast of Northern Ireland. The peninsula also boasts a historic landmark in the form of a lighthouse, the second commissioned in Scotland and built in 1788.
The area was given worldwide recognition when then resident, Paul McCartney immortalised it in popular culture in the 1977 hit song “Mull of Kintyre” with his band ‘Wings’.
It is without doubt an area of natural beauty and an ideal location for a family holiday where you can just relax, unwind and let the world go by.
